Meet, Armelinda
My name is Armelinda. I was born in Elbasan on October 13 of 2000. After completing high school I could not attend university studies because of the difficult financial situation of my family. I currently live with my parents and 3 of my sisters. Before being part of the professional courses, I used to stay at home helping my mother in the daily chores. I didn’t have a job prior to this course, but I am working as hostess at Rozafa Fish City in Elbasan, now. My two parents unfortunately don’t work, only one of my sisters does. I was determined to find a way how to help myself, my family and finally the chance came. I got acquainted with the project for the professional courses, provided by Key Adviser Company through Facebook, an advertisement about free vocational courses for culinary and hospitality, got my attention. I decided to be part of the training because I considered it as a good opportunity to have a qualification and to learn a profession which could help me find a job. Before registering, I participated in one of the informative sections of Key Adviser which served as a point of connection with the course instructors and participants . I didn’t hesitate to enroll in the course of the hospitality module because I couldn’t let such an opportunity escape. I can tell that the course was very useful because I got a lot of knowledge about the art of hospitality theoretically and practically. During the course one of my relatives had referred me at Rozafa Fish City. They informed me in a few days later for an interview and after I passed the probationary period, I started working there. Now in Rozafa Fish City I feel very comfortable in my work, I am motivated to grow professionally every day. I feel proud that I can contribute in my family. I am, also, prepared to deal with the labor market. I see myself more fulfilled as a person and I feel ready to face the challenges of the future, now. The course I took changed everything for good. I am very grateful to the organizers and supporters of this project for the opportunity they gave to me.
Meet, Pavlo
My name is Pavlo and I am 18 years old. I was born in the city of Elbasan where I currently live. My family has 4 members, my two parents and my little brother. I have finished the general secondary school in Elbasan. Before I started the course, my days were empty without any activity. In my family, my two parents work, while my brother attends the sixth grade in elementary school. I am currently doing a practice in hospitality, at one of the largest businesses in Albania, at Rozafa Fish City Labinot and in the next month I will start working there. I got acquainted with the professional courses, provided by Key Adviser in Elbasan after a conversation with a friend of mine who had previously been part of them. When I got the information for the professional courses, I was very happy and talked to my parents about it. They supported me and immediately I registered for the course on the hospitality module. My experience in the course of the hospitality module was very positive and valuable. Key Adviser through these courses offered us the opportunity to know the hospitality field in theoretical and practical terms. During the courses, at the premises of the vocational school Salih Ceka, I felt very motivated and clear about the knowledge I received. I learned a lot about hospitality, rules, techniques and everything else. During the course, we had a lot of collaboration with the other participants and we had a lot of fun as well. I think the collaboration with each-other made the course even more enjoyable. I feel sad that we are at the end of the course, but now a new experience is waiting for me and I am ready. In March, I got the confirmation that I will be part of the Hotel staff at Rozafa Fish City and this makes me feel very proud. I will use my opportunity to become a professional in hospitality and to also have my own income. My family is very happy for me. I am thankful to the providers and funders of the free vocational courses and I hope they have more activities like this in the future that can help young people to learn a profession.
