In Klos: (Travel agency – Chancellery)The organization of “Business Start-Up” competitions within the program “Transforming National Response to Human Trafficking in and from Albania”, funded by the Government of UK and directed by UNICEF Albania, represents an important step towards the promotion and development of the local economy in some of the northern municipalities of Albania. The selection of 12 promising business ideas in the 5 municipalities of Shkodër, Mat, Klos, Bulqizë, Dibër after a careful assessment shows a commitment of Key Adviser and the selection committee for the identification and support of initiatives better and innovative. This economic and social reintegration program has had a positive impact on raising awareness and supporting local small business initiatives. Through it, it contributed to the preparation and qualification of young people, as well as reducing the risk of human trafficking and creating new opportunities for the residents of these regions. After signing the grant agreements with the 12 winners of the competition, the establishment of new businesses was initiated immediately, where Key Adviser, through the local staff, supported and monitored the 12 new entrepreneurs in these 5 municipalities to help them in the early stage of entrepreneurship, providing comprehensive support. The new businesses have completed the stage of configuration by fulfilling all legal and financial procedures to operate in the labor market, showing their commitment to operate legally and sustainably.

During this period, the following new businesses with different profiles were opened in the above-mentioned 5 municipalities, including:

  • In Dibër: (Electrical services, – Repair and sale of old furniture)
  • In Bulqiza: (Mobile phone service, – Beauty salon)
  • In Klos: (Travel agency – Chancellery)
  • In Mat: (Manicure-pedicure salon – Beekeeping)
  • In Shkodër: (2-Digital marketing agency, Online clothing store-Tea sales store)

These businesses represent a wide range of different services and products in these regions, bringing new opportunities to local consumers and contributing to the development of the country’s economy.
